The first rumors on the plans from Canon on releasing the Mark III of the Canon EOS 5D camera appeared in April, but now the specs are known as well and you can read about them below.

Apparently, the 5D Mark III will have a 35mm sensor with full frame, a resolution of 32MP (compared with the 21MP from the Mark II), plus plenty of other improvements, like the high ISO range (which goes from 100 to 25600). It will also have a Digic V processor which is updated. Thanks to all the improvements, the Mark III has better noise reduction and image quality.

Other specs are the auto focus system with 19 points, the bigger LCD, the auto focus technology and it can use CompactFlash memory cards. If you want to shoot photos continuously, the speed has increased to 4.2 FPS, from 3.9 FPS. It appears that test versions of the Mark III are already in the hands of photographers.

Canon has launched a new model of semi-professional camera, the EOS 600D, a lightweight and compact DSLR. Due to the wide range of automatic shooting modes, which beginners can use to express their creativity, the capture of quality images and the Full HD shooting is very easy.
A options guide was added to the user interface to help you get familiar with the camera, and help you to develop photographic skills. The great details of the photos are obtained with an APS-C CMOS sensor of 18 MP, along with the DIGIC 4 processor that allows 14-bit capture of sharp images with exceptional gradient between colors.
The capabilities of the Canon EOS 600D of shooting in poor lighting conditions will allow you to obtain clear images even in dark environments, with an ISO range from 100-6400 and that can be expanded to 12,800.

The price of the Canon EOS 600D has not been announced yet but the rumors say that it will start from 950 euros.

The Canon SX30 IS camera has two important advantages: the biggest optical zoom on the market, 35x, and the dimensions of a DSLR although it is a compact camera.

The reasons for which Canon has adopted this strategy is that the Japanese engineers wanted to attack the segment of compact cameras with high optical zoom, as this types of cameras were missing from the generous offer of Canon. And it seems they have succeeded, since the Canon SX30 IS will remain for a period the device with the highest optical zoom in the world, while the focal length has values ranging between 24-840 mm.

The SX30 IS uses a CCD sensor type 1/2.3 “with a capacity of 14.1 MP, whose ISO values range from 80-1600. The device provides several predefined ways of shooting, among them those dedicated to detecting smiles and different seasons.

Before arriving on the PC, the images can be viewed on the LCD display of 2.7 inches. Unfortunately, Canon has opted for a low resolution of only 230,000 pixels. Even if the brightness adjustment function can be useful, the expectations were much higher in the view of the other technical characteristics.

In terms of video recording, the Canon SX30 IS is compatible with HD 720p (1280 × 720) at 30 frames per second. The format chosen for the clips is MOV, a Quick Time player type.

The price of the Canon SX30IS is 399$.

The latest low end DSLR camera from Canon is the EOS Kiss F, and it’s not that great to be honest. It has less megapixels (instead of 12.2 you get 10.1) and less AF areas (7 points instead of 9). It is however cheaper by $120 than the Kiss X2.
