People at CNET Asis finally took the 3D shooter prototype from Fujifilm for a test drive.

This new device completely resets the standards in the digital camera industry by using a pair of lenses and sensors to capture light in stereo. In order to create the 3D effect the two images alternate at 60 fps on a 2.8-inch LCD display on the back.

For the future, Fujifilm is developing an 8.4-inch 3D photo frame and also some very interesting lenticular prints. For those of you who don’t know, a lenticular print is a special picture that you’ll have to tilt left and right in order to see different things.

Until then, the 3D camera is getting ready to hit the market in September 2009.
